HMI front unit with curved glass front
Hy-Line offers a solution for customers who require HMI front units with a curved surface. The combination of standard displays with touchscreen and concave, convex or multi-axis curved cover glass enables complete HMI front units.
Hy-Line 's solution uses a standard flat display that is bonded to a curved cover lens. The challenge is to ensure readability at oblique angles. To achieve this, the space between the display and the cover lens is filled with a transparent material that has the right refractive index and minimizes reflections. The touch sensor is carefully tuned so that it functions reliably despite variable layer thicknesses due to the curvature. Individual fine-tuning ensures operation with several fingers, gestures, gloves and in damp conditions. Diagonals from 2.4 to 32 inches, resolutions up to 4 K, brightness from 250 to over 1000 cd/m² and interfaces such as RGB parallel, SPI, LVDS, MIPI or VByOne are possible. The connection is made via standard connectors or customer-specific flex foils.
