Conrad links the devices
With 'Conrad Connect', the electronics mail order company Conrad is now making an IoT platform available in a free beta test: It is intended to offer the possibility of controlling networked products across manufacturers and linking them intelligently with each other.
With freely configurable dashboards, users of 'Conrad Connect' will be able to manage their devices directly in the Internet browser.

To this end, the devices communicate with each other online, thereby multiplying their potential uses. The platform works as a translator and summarizes the settings of all connected products on a common screen. At the start of the public beta test, the platform already works with devices from Fitbit, Myfox, Netatmo, Osram, Withings and other well-known manufacturers. With freely configurable dashboards, users can manage and monitor their devices directly in the internet browser. - via desktop PC, notebook or tablet.
The graphical rule editor can be used to create cross-system rules with multiple sensors, logic gates and actuators.

Products and tasks can be linked to each other according to the "if-then" principle. This can be done directly in the dashboard or via a graphical editor. Users can use drag & drop to create a connection between their devices: Drag the desired sensors and actuators into the editor window with the mouse, connect them via lines and select the appropriate action. Online services such as the weather forecast on the Internet or calendar functions can also be integrated.
According to Conrad, personal data is only stored in Germany - it is not transferred to servers outside the EU.
