The processor (BCM2837, QuadCore, 1.2 GHz) opens up many new areas of application, including industrial HMI, medical technology, aviation, digital signage and digital white boards. The board is integrated into existing Windows and Linux environments and can be adapted to individual requirements. A starter set consists of a baseboard, CM3, 10.1-inch display with PCAP multi-touch and all necessary cables. The pre-installed 'Raspbian' enables an immediate project start. The TFT controller is based on a scaler chip and, according to the provider, controls almost any TFT display and modern PCAP multi-touch screens directly. The controller card allows special functions such as DICOM pre-set, gamma correction and color calibration. It supports Gigabit Ethernet and offers a real-time clock. The available interfaces include USB, GPIOs, I²C and UART.
