A virtual world
Webfactory presents its new software platform Webfactory i4. The web-based platform connects machines and production systems into a single virtual world.
Thanks to data warehouse technology, process data from a wide variety of sources and measuring points can be recorded and evaluated almost in real time. The HTML5-based web applications make the data accessible at any time and on any end device. The software platform comprises five modules that all access a standardized database and are coordinated with each other: i4Energy, i4SCADA, i4Monitoring, i4Maintenance and i4Analytics. It also enables users to define and monitor savings targets and measures. Companies use i4SCADA to visualize their systems and machines in order to control and monitor a wide range of production and measurement data. The module is used in production, building automation and process engineering systems. i4Monitoring (available at the end of 2015) enables permanent evaluation of production data - by measuring production-relevant variables and linking them to KPIs such as overall equipment effectiveness (OEE).
