With magnetic measuring principle

The integrated position measuring system 'IMS' from Bosch Rexroth is now also available as 'IMScompact' for absolute measurement.

The non-contact solution with magnetic measuring principle enables position detection for linear guides of different lengths and sizes and thus completely replaces external linear position measuring systems. The system completes the existing portfolio of integrated measuring systems from Bosch Rexroth, which also includes an incremental measuring 'IMScompact' and two inductive high-end variants for high-precision applications. The position of the carriage is measured without contact with an absolute accuracy of +/-20 µm/m and a repeatability of +/-1 µm at speeds of up to 5 m/s. The measuring length can be up to 17.8 m with multi-part rail sections. The system integrated in the carriage is available in sizes 15, 20 and 25. The advantage of the absolute measuring function over the incremental function is that the system is ready for use immediately after switching on or after a power failure.
