Vibration measurement devices
The Japanese company Rion offers vibration measuring devices, including the VA-12 portable vibration analyzer, the VM-82A vibration meter and the VM-56 triaxial ground vibration meter.
With the VA-12, device diagnostics and on-site measurements are possible. The measuring device with a color display with 240×320 pixels can also be used for a single-channel FFT analysis. Among other things, it enables the simultaneous measurement of acceleration, velocity, displacement and acceleration crest factor and saves the waveform data on an SD card for later post-processing and analysis.
According to Disynet, the VM-82A was primarily designed for the maintenance and inspection of rotating industrial machinery, with a particular focus on rotating machinery. It has three measurement modes: acceleration, velocity and displacement, as well as an internal memory for up to 1,000 pieces of data. The device also has a USB port for transferring stored data.
The VM-56 enables the simultaneous calculation of PPV/ VDV (peak particle velocity/vibration dose value), dominant frequency and stroke.
