The wide-angle module is suitable for applications ranging from fire detection and process monitoring to people detection. The device offers a usable thermal resolution of 120x120 and a dynamic range of up to 400 oC. Like the entire device family, it has a thermal sensitivity of <50 mK and digital thermal image processing. For people counting, Teledyne Flir 's micro camera module provides a data set that is not susceptible to overcounting through glass partitions while protecting privacy. In combination with building automation software, it can help building managers to automatically optimize energy consumption and increase user comfort.
