The coil system and the electronic circuit boards are installed in a screw-in threaded housing and completely encapsulated with a plastic compound. The continuous M30 x 1.5mm external thread makes it very easy to mount the displacement transducers from a.b.jödden. The encapsulated design achieves protection class IP68, which enables use with shock loads of up to 250 g SRS (20 to 2000 Hz) and vibration loads of up to 20 g rms (50 g peak). Standard measuring distances of 5, 10 or 15 mm are converted into standardized output signals 0(4) to 20 mA or 0 to 10 V(DC) with 0.1 % measuring accuracy. An operating voltage of 9 to 32 V(DC) must be provided. The freely movable plunger of the standard displacement transducer can be mounted by the user in such a way that the displacement is measured without contact and therefore without wear. The electrical connection is made either via a plug or a watertight molded cable.
