With the now complete takeover of Caemax Technologie, the Berlin-based measurement technology manufacturer imc Test & Measurement GmbH has increased its stake to 100%. imc had already acquired a 25.1% stake in Caemax in 2015. The Munich site will remain Caemax's headquarters. It is to be further expanded as a competence center for vehicle dynamics solutions and customized telemetric measurement technology applications.

The metrological integration of Caemax sensor technology into imc measurement systems has already created new synergies that have enabled both companies to grow faster. Caemax sensors and telemetry applications are now generating high profits. imc is working with Caemax to drive forward the sale and development of complete measurement technology solutions for vehicle and machine testing. This is already resulting in new and successful products.

These include the 'CRFX/WFT-2' measurement module for the modular imc 'CRONOSflex' measurement system. Various wheel sensors can be connected directly to the imc measuring system like conventional sensors - the previously required electronic unit is no longer needed. This makes imc the only measuring system manufacturer today to offer complete integration of a force measuring wheel into its measuring systems, which seamlessly synchronize and further process this data. Head of Development Ralf Winkelmann characterizes this new development as follows: "Together with Caemax, we are redefining the integration of intelligent sensors. The WFT module earns the title of 'integrated' primarily through the interaction of hardware, firmware and software, which is invisible to the user. 'Plug & Measure' can be realized here for the first time in the true sense of the word. A clear advantage for our customers when it comes to productive measurement."
