Expansion into the global measuring device market

Hikmicro, a subsidiary of Hikvision, has officially introduced Coriolis and ultrasonic flowmeters to the global metering market. The strategic expansion is a step towards the company's goal of offering an industrial platform that combines process control, predictive maintenance and safety in production in a single solution.

"Factories need more and more affordable solutions for process control in production and for digital transformation," explains Stefan Li, Overseas Market Director of the company. "Our expansion into the measurement device sector is naturally based on our experience in thermal imaging. As a subsidiary of Hikvision founded in 2016, Hikmicro is one of the few manufacturers in the world that fully integrates chip design and manufacturing, core algorithm development, quality control and production in-house, rather than relying on suppliers."

The new flowmeters build on the company's core competencies in sensor development, signal processing and calibration. The Coriolis mass flow meter 'FC00' offers a measurement accuracy of ±0.1% for liquids and ±0.5% for gases, making it particularly suitable for the food and beverage industry. Its AI-supported temperature compensation ensures a density accuracy of ≤±0.001 g/cm³, while the integrated diagnostic function monitors system integrity. The device enables ultra-fast digital processing with 8000 samples per second, which significantly improves measurement reliability and response times even in demanding industrial environments.

The ultrasonic flowmeter 'FU00' achieves an accuracy of ±0.5% in water applications and features a non-invasive design that avoids pressure loss and downtime. To ensure optimal operation, an intelligent AI continuously evaluates signal quality and probe performance.

Hikmicro operates in over 100 countries worldwide and supports customers with a wide-ranging portfolio that includes portable thermal imaging cameras, acoustic cameras and stationary thermography systems. With the addition of flowmeters to the portfolio, the range has been expanded to include process control in production.
