Scandinavia is not new territory for Vega. There has been a subsidiary in Norway since 2015. In Sweden and Denmark, the company was previously represented by local dealers. The establishment of the two subsidiaries will now strengthen the company's presence in both countries.

Jürgen Schuijren, Managing Director of Vega Netherlands, is currently spearheading the expansion into the north. "We want to offer these markets the level of service that we are used to from Vega," he says - in other words, employees who are familiar with the measuring devices, short logistics routes and a common language with customers. Specific customer training courses also complete the range of services in Scandinavia. There are many potential applications for Vega's sensors in both countries: "Chemical and pharmaceutical companies, waterworks and food and beverage manufacturers are of course also represented in these countries. There is also a significant shipping industry in Denmark. In Sweden, we see great potential in mineral extraction, which can be used for chip production, for example," says Jürgen Schuijren. Both countries are also experiencing enormous growth in the hydrogen sector and renewable energies.

In Denmark, the company is located in the old Carlsberg City district in Copenhagen, in Sweden in the Hagastaden district in the heart of Stockholm. Each of the two branches will start work with five sales representatives, two office staff, two service technicians, two sales assistants and a marketing manager. Vega Denmark started work on March 1, 2024, Vega Sweden will start on April 1, 2024.
