During his 22-year tenure at Siemens, Kok held key leadership roles: he supported the transition to Software-as-a-Service, led the Industrial IoT platform business and its integration into digital manufacturing, and established unified services for Siemens Xcelerator. Kok takes over the role as CEO of Mendix following Tim Srock's decision to step down.

Kok's enthusiasm for the low-code platform goes back many years. At Siemens, he was one of the early adopters of the technology in general and of Mendix in particular. He played a key role in the initial discussions between the two companies that ultimately led to Siemens Digital Industries Software acquiring Mendix in 2018.

Kok's experience will help cement Mendix's position as a low-code platform for solving complex enterprise software development challenges. He will also drive the tight integration of Mendix with the rest of Siemens' software portfolio, improving integration and connectivity with the other technologies in the Siemens Xcelerator platform and enabling customers to take advantage of these synergies.
