More responsive real-time display
Dassault Systèmes offers new technologies and workflows with Solidworks 2019 to improve collaboration and enable immersive, interactive experiences during design and engineering.
In addition, the latest Solidworks version also offers extended functions, for example for "checking large designs". In addition, it uses a new graphics architecture for parts and assemblies that provides a more responsive real-time display, especially for large models. It uses OpenGL (4.5) and hardware accelerated rendering to maintain a high level of detail and frame rate when panning, zooming or rotating large models. By directly tagging parts and assemblies (pen/touch-enabled), saving them with the model and exporting them as a PDF, Version 2019 allows teams to communicate with stakeholders outside the design community. Another important feature is Solidworks Extended Reality (XR). With this new application, created CAD data can be published, including lighting, cameras, materials, stickers and animations for motion studies, and experienced with virtual reality (VR), augmented reality (AR) and web viewers.
