Lohweg replaces Jasperneite
Volker Lohweg takes over the management of the Institute for Industrial Information Technology (inIT) at OWL University. The former board member replaces Jürgen Jasperneite after eleven years at the helm.
"As a pioneer for the arrival of IT on the factory floor", the course has been set for the coming years "to continue writing the success story", says Jasperneite, who will devote himself in particular to the further expansion of Fraunhofer at the Lemgo site.
In terms of content, Lohweg is focusing on areas of computer intelligence: "In addition to intelligent networking, information and communication technologies, human-technology interaction, data security and authentication, we clearly see our research strengths here."
