Cloud-based, scalable and suitable for roll-out
Grossenbacher will be presenting the GUT (Grossenbacher Update Tool) update solution for field device management in industrial environments for the first time.
As an on-premise or cloud solution, Grossenbacher 's tool offers user management, client management and comprehensive structuring and categorization for a large number of field devices. Updates can be distributed as a complete image - for example from 'GitHub' - via the update tool. Alternatively, individual files can also be updated, for example to load new recipes or configurations onto the field device. In the field device itself, a handler including key/token management takes over the update and ensures correct installation both in Yocto environments and in devices based on firmware (microcontrollers). Cybersecurity requirements are met via keys or certificates. This enables secure boot and therefore compliance with the standards required for security level 3 of IEC 62443.
