Accenture takes over Salt Solutions
Accenture has acquired the technology consultant Salt Solutions. Organizationally, the company will be integrated into Accenture Industry X.
With its Industry X division, the management and strategy consultant Accenture supports clients in the areas of digital manufacturing, operations and supply chains in optimizing their production facilities and systems. The acquisition of technology consultant Salt Solutions is now set to strengthen this business. A declared goal is to build and offer cloud-based IIoT platforms.
Nigel Stacey, Global Head of Industry X at Accenture, comments on the acquisition: "We want to build cloud-based industrial IoT platforms for our clients that also capture previously unused information from the manufacturing sector. This will enable us to generate strategic insights that support decision-making processes in real time and over the long term. Salt Solutions' unique expertise in manufacturing and logistics will be a key enabler for these platforms."
Salt Solutions implements and maintains IT systems for logistics, manufacturing and operations for leading companies in the German automotive, manufacturing, consumer goods and chemical industries.
