'Mindsphere World' expands
The 'Mindsphere World' association continues to grow: a regional user organization is to drive forward the expansion of the IoT ecosystem around Mindsphere in Italy, France, Spain and Portugal.
Expanding the ecosystem for the IoT operating system Mindsphere worldwide - that was Siemens ' declared goal when it founded the 'Mindsphere World' association in Germany in January of this year. The company has now taken the next step: "The establishment of a regional Mindsphere user organization for Italy, France, Spain and Portugal based in Italy not only represents a further important step in promoting the spread of the ecosystem around the open IoT platform, but also once again underlines the strategic importance of the Italian market for Siemens," explained Giuliano Busetto, Country Division Lead Digital Factory and Process Industries and Drives at Siemens Italy and Chairman of the Board of 'Mindsphere World' in Italy.
In addition to expanding the ecosystem, the association aims to support the individual members in the development and optimization of IoT solutions and the development of new markets. Its tasks also include defining the industry's requirements for the Mindsphere platform and developing recommendations for the creation of standardized rules for data usage. The association also aims to promote research and development as well as training opportunities.
