With the IBH Link IoT gateway and the pre-installed 'Teamviewer' software, IBHsoftec offers the possibility to access almost all PLC systems anytime and anywhere. Together with TeamViewer, the gateway enables easy access to control systems and their programming. It is a compact device for top-hat rail mounting with four Ethernet ports and a 24 V power supply. According to the provider, this makes complex modem solutions or the use of a PC on site a thing of the past.

Sebastian Brandstetter, Product Manager at B&R, accepted the trophy for the software solution and talked about the key features of 'mapp Pick&Place' and the feedback B&R has received so far. Brandstetter also provided insights into the roadmap for the next 12 months.

A new add-on now provides the additional option of communicating easily with S7 controllers from Siemens using the 'Twincat' automation software from Beckhoff. 'Twincat 3' offers many options for connecting TCP/IP-based third-party systems to the control program: OPC UA, MQTT, HTTPS and Modbus are just a few of a range of communication protocols.
