Reduced development and commissioning costs
Emerson launches the RSTi-EP CPE200 Programmable Automation Controller (PAC). This family of compact PACs supports OEMs in implementing customer requirements with regard to automation technology.
The CPE200 controllers offer extensive PLC functions in an IIoT-capable form factor and 'security by design'. Programming and integrated communication capabilities simplify connectivity to external analytics software platforms and reduce complexity for OEMs and end users, according to supplier Emerson. The controllers offer open communication through native, pre-licensed support for OPC UA and other common industry protocols for flexible connectivity over high-speed Gigabit Ethernet. IEC 61131 programming languages as well as the C programming language help engineers develop complex algorithms to enable proprietary production strategies and advanced automation technologies.
