Rockwell Automation
Save development time and costs
According to the manufacturer, machine builders can save development time and costs with the extended Allen-Bradley Micro850 and Micro870 controllers of the '2080-Lx0E' series and the latest Connected Components Workbench software from Rockwell Automation.
According to Rockwell Automation, the enhanced controllers offer increased connectivity and design efficiency through Class 1 Implicit Messaging capability and support for up to eight Ethernet/IP devices. With pre-defined tags and pre-developed function block commands (UDFB), these controllers support PowerFlex 520 series drives and Kinetix 5100 series drives over Ethernet/IP. Programming has also been simplified. At least version 21 of the Connected Components Workbench software is required for 'Class 1' communication via implicit messaging of the controllers.
