Joe Kaeser reports "a brilliant fourth quarter"
Positive results for the fourth quarter and fiscal year 2019 at Siemens: According to Siemens CEO Joe Kaeser, the majority of industrial businesses contributed to growth - despite a decline in demand for factory automation and motion control.

On a comparable basis, i.e. excluding currency translation and portfolio effects, revenue and order intake increased by 6% and 2% respectively.
In terms of the 2019 financial year as a whole, incoming orders increased by 7% to EUR 98 billion. Sales revenue increased by 5% to 86.8 billion euros. On a comparable basis, order intake increased by 6% and sales revenue rose by 3%; the majority of industrial businesses contributed to this growth.
Joe Kaeser, President and CEO of Siemens, commented: "With a brilliant fourth quarter, we were once again able to underline Siemens' performance. We fully met our forecast for the year in all respects! The Vision 2020+ strategy concept is beginning to take effect."
For fiscal 2020, Siemens expects a moderate increase in revenue on a like-for-like basis in a subdued global economy.
