Hanover Fair 2017The new products from Siemens
Discover the value of the Digital Enterprise - this is the motto of this year's Siemens presence at the Hannover Messe. We present the first new products that the company has in store.

With Pitestop active, Pilz offers a family of emergency stop buttons that can be activated electrically and use lighting to indicate whether they are active or not. The emergency stop buttons are particularly suitable for plant and machinery in which plant parts are moved: They can be used to safely activate or deactivate machine parts as required. Variants are available for installation and mounting on the machine - an installation variant with protection class IP65 and a surface-mounted variant with M12 connection. Thanks to the devices integrated in the safety circuit, mobile operating panels, for example, no longer need to be safely stored, but only safely deactivated. The emergency stop buttons meet the requirements of the revised ISO 13850 standard, which places high demands on the clear recognizability and availability of the emergency stop button on a machine: Previously, an inactive emergency stop had to be covered to prevent confusion in the event of danger. The revised Machinery Directive provides new design options and defines for the first time that a third state 'inactive' is also defined for emergency stop buttons. Safely monitored lighting using emergency stop buttons enables safe activation.
