The 2016 edition of the Hannover Messe ended on April 29 with a significant increase in visitor numbers compared to 2014. The organizer is particularly proud of the many concrete application examples for Industry 4.0.

Dr. Gunther Kegel, Chairman of the Board of the ZVEI Automation Association, considered the absence of many process automation specialists from this year's Hannover Messe to be a "strategically fatal mistake" in view of the requirements - and opportunities - of Industry 4.0.
