The 2016 edition of the Hannover Messe ended on April 29 with a significant increase in visitor numbers compared to 2014. The organizer is particularly proud of the many concrete application examples for Industry 4.0.

According to Martin Rostan (pictured left), Executive Director of the Ethercat Technology Group (ETG), Morihiko Ohkura, General Manager of the Production Engineering Innovation Division at Toyota Motor Corporation, made a groundbreaking statement to the assembled German and Japanese trade press on the second day of the trade fair: "I am pleased to announce that Toyota Motor Corporation will be using Ethercat throughout the new factories being built around the world."
