Digital twins are the field of research of Dr. Arquimedes Canedo (36) from Siemens Corporate Technology in Princeton, New Jersey (USA). The digital twin of a product offers many advantages in automation and control: it accompanies its life cycle in virtual form from the initial idea through production to maintenance and sometimes even to disposal, ensuring greater efficiency at all levels. A "digital graph" invented by Arquimedes Canedo automatically links various digital twins with each other. For this, Canedo was awarded Inventor of the Year in the "Talent" category.
