The monitoring app for the 'Imon', 'EBW' and 'Moros' router series from Insys icom allows efficient monitoring of controllers and other IP-enabled or analog devices connected to the routers. Actual values can be visualized directly with the integrated 'icom Dashboard'. The app can also be used to transfer recorded and, if necessary, pre-processed data on the router to the cloud or other customer-specific infrastructures. The current update 2.5.0 integrates the MQTT protocol, which enables the connection of applications to IoT platforms such as 'IBM Bluemix', 'Microsoft Azure', 'M2MGO' or 'Centersight' from Device Insight. This allows the provider's routers to act as publishers, subscribers or both at the same time on corresponding IoT platforms - meaning that the devices can both send telegrams independently when defined events occur and react to incoming telegrams and then switch outputs, for example. As all publishers and subscribers in the MQTT network have the status of clients, the devices do not require a public IP address and therefore do not provide a target for unwanted external interference.
