Moxa's Turbo Pack 3 firmware complies with the IEC 62443-4-2 Level 2 cybersecurity standard and also offers special security management functions. This covers protection against unauthorized access, known security vulnerabilities and unforeseeable attacks. The provider's DIN rail switches 'EDS-G500E' and 'EDS-518E/528E' currently have 'Turbo Pack 3', and all company switches are expected to support this firmware by 2017. The firmware upgrade supports MAC authentication bypass via 'Radius' servers and closes certain security gaps to protect the switches from malicious access. The firmware also offers improvements in redundancy technologies.
