Positive results for the fourth quarter and fiscal year 2019 at Siemens: According to Siemens CEO Joe Kaeser, the majority of industrial businesses contributed to growth - despite a decline in demand for factory automation and motion control.

In the 'Smart Infrastructure' segment, volume growth was driven by the solutions and service business and a higher volume of major orders. In geographical terms, incoming orders increased due to double-digit percentage growth in the Americas and Asia, Australia. The increase in sales revenue was strongest in the Americas. For 2020, 'Smart Infrastructure' expects moderate revenue growth on a comparable basis, driven by the longer-cycle solution and service business.
