The VDMA has published its first estimates of global machine sales. According to these estimates, sales of machinery and equipment in Europe rose by 6%. This was the highest growth since 2011. The figures in detail.

Excluding services, sales of machinery and equipment in Europe rose by 6% to EUR 777 billion. Europe thus also significantly outperformed the global machinery market. Following a decline of 1% in 2016, its total turnover increased slightly by 1% to 2.6 trillion euros.
