ZVEI / German electrical exports100 billion euro mark cracked
Upswing for German electrical exports: in June 2018, they rose by 3.8% year-on-year to €17.5 billion. According to the ZVEI, the electrical industry exported goods worth 102 billion euros in the first half of 2018, which is 4.3% above the previous year's level.

"For the first time ever, the 100 billion euro mark was exceeded in a half-year period," said ZVEI Chief Economist Dr. Andreas Gontermann at the presentation of the 2018 half-year figures for the electrical and electronics market. Industry exports to industrialized countries increased by 3.2% to 66 billion euros in the first half of the year. Exports to emerging markets grew twice as strongly - by 6.5% to 35.7 billion euros.
