ZVEI / German electrical exports100 billion euro mark cracked
Upswing for German electrical exports: in June 2018, they rose by 3.8% year-on-year to €17.5 billion. According to the ZVEI, the electrical industry exported goods worth 102 billion euros in the first half of 2018, which is 4.3% above the previous year's level.

There were hardly any changes in the ranking of the largest customers in the first half of the year: Exports to China, in first place, were up 12.2% on the previous year at 10.2 billion euros. The USA, in second place, sold 8.5 billion euros - a small drop of 0.9%. France remains in third place. Here, electrical exports rose by 2% to 6.2 billion euros from January to June. The highest growth among the top ten buyer countries was achieved with the Netherlands. They pushed the UK into 5th place.
