Siemens - 1st quarter 2018'Digital Factory' and 'Mobility' stand out
Siemens has announced its figures for the first quarter: the company is growing in terms of both order intake and sales - thanks to strong contributions from the Mobility and Digital Factory Divisions. In contrast, the result of the Industrial Business declined.

In the Siemens Gamesa Renewable Energy Division, the merger with Gamesa resulted in a significant increase in volume. Siemens received a major order for an offshore wind farm in Denmark as well as major onshore orders in India, Egypt, the USA and Thailand. According to Siemens, revenue and profitability reflect trends in the onshore business: fewer new installations and continued price pressure.
