Siemens - 1st quarter 2018'Digital Factory' and 'Mobility' stand out
Siemens has announced its figures for the first quarter: the company is growing in terms of both order intake and sales - thanks to strong contributions from the Mobility and Digital Factory Divisions. In contrast, the result of the Industrial Business declined.

According to Siemens, the volume development in the 'Healthineers' sector is strongly influenced by negative currency translation effects. Growth on a comparable basis is led by the Advanced Therapies business. In geographical terms, sales mainly increased in the Chinese market. According to Siemens, a considerable currency-related headwind and a less favorable business mix compared to the strong prior-year quarter led to lower profitability.
