CODESYS

CoDeSys became CODESYS

At first glance, different companies are advertising here. A second glance reveals that both advertisements are about CODESYS.

The second of January 2001 was my first day at work in the marketing department of 3S-Smart Software Solutions in Kempten. The ad shown here had already appeared several times at the time. I still think the picture is cool. It clearly stands out from the usual automation motifs of the time, as does our current container image. Both are real eye-catchers for me.
The advantages mentioned for the user are just as true today as they were back then. Our marketing focus has changed in the meantime: The focus is on brand new products such as virtual control.

"You can't hold CODESYS in your hand, but making it tangible in marketing is both exciting and challenging"

But we have not only evolved on the product side. After a logo rebrush in 2012, "CoDeSys" became "CODESYS" - which looks better and better reflects the correct pronunciation.

The company logo and the Automation Alliance logo still in use at the time were both replaced by a single CODESYS logo. In 2020, we parted ways with the old company name.

Brand and company became one. Our address and, above all, our fax number are nowhere to be found in our current advertisements.

Today, the company is no longer based in the converted rented apartment at Fischerstrasse 19 in Kempten, but in its own company building with space for 200 employees.
