Bavaria's trade fairs start on August 1
From August 1, trade fairs in Bavaria will once again be permitted in compliance with the 3-G concept. At the moment, nothing stands in the way of the SPS in November.
From August 1, 2021, Bavarian trade fairs will start again. This is the decision made by the Bavarian state government on July 20. The press release from the cabinet meeting reads: "The TrendSet pilot trade fair was successfully carried out and accompanied by a practical check by the Commissioner for Bureaucracy Reduction. The framework hygiene concept has proven its worth. This means that trade fair operations can be resumed from August 1, 2021."
At the moment, nothing stands in the way of the SPS, which is scheduled to take place in Nuremberg from November 23 to 25.
Measurements only for recovered, vaccinated and tested persons
The 3-G concept is an essential cornerstone for safe trade fair operations. This provides for trade fair participation only for those who have been vaccinated, recovered or tested. In addition, digital registration and access systems, ventilation, seamless contact tracing, space and capacity management, visitor guidance and professional testing concepts all contribute to safe trade fair operations.
TrendSet pilot trade fair successfully held in Munich
The international trade fair for interiors, inspiration and lifestyle TrendSet in Munich paved the way for the official opening of the trade fair in August. As part of the pilot event from July 10 to 12, Messe München implemented the Bavarian state government's framework concept for hygiene and infection protection. Trade visitors were able to participate in the trade fair according to the 3-G rule (vaccinated, recovered or tested). Contacts were already verified in a traceable manner when tickets were purchased online. The contactless admission system to the trade fair provided additional security. On the grounds, security staff monitored compliance with social distancing, hygiene and mask requirements. A total of over 16,000 people visited the trade fair over the three days of the event, an increase of almost 30% compared to the previous year.
