Automated commissioning of hydraulic axes

The POS-323 series positioning controls from W.E.St. Elektronik offer the function of automatic commissioning of hydraulic axes and thus enable a quick and uncomplicated procedure for parameterization.

Automatic measurements determine the data for sensor scaling and zero drift, the data for positive overlap and maximum speed as well as the dynamic characteristics for controller adjustment. After approximately three minutes (cylinder with 300 mm stroke and a maximum speed of 230 mm/s), the measurements are completed and the cylinder drive works robustly, and various monitoring systems that log the process during the processes can abort the optimization in the event of an error. The reason for the abort is reported in order to simplify troubleshooting. Typical results are in the range of 0.1 mm positioning accuracy in the case of inexpensive positive-covered proportional valves and better than 0.01 mm in the case of zero-cut control valves or servo valves.
