Counterfeits from China remain by far the biggest source of danger for counterfeit products - despite many efforts to defend against them: "Despite many announcements, nothing has really improved here in the past two years," said Steffen Zimmermann, Head of the VDMA Competence Center Industrial Security, on the results of the 'Product Piracy 2018' study, which the association presented at the Hannover Messe 2018. The results in detail:

The 'Product Piracy 2018' study was conducted by the Fraunhofer Institute for Applied and Integrated Security(AISEC) on the basis of a survey of VDMA members in March / April 2018. Almost 140 member companies with an annual turnover of up to 100 million euros took part in the survey.
