Trade fair and congress grow again

In 2018, the 'embedded world' trade fair was able to improve on the record results of the previous year. The accompanying congress was also busier than ever.

"For the 16th event, embedded world has once again grown in the key exhibition parameters of visitors, exhibitors and exhibition space," says Richard Krowoza, Member of the NürnbergMesse Management Board, summing up the past exhibition. 1,021 companies (+1%) from 38 countries presented their products and innovations to 32,217 visitors (+7.3%) from 78 countries in six halls.

And the embedded world Conference and the electronic displays Conference also recorded record participation with 2,176 participants and speakers from 52 countries.

Handing over the baton

At the end of this year's embedded world, Prof. Dr.-Ing. Matthias Sturm has handed over his responsibilities as Chairman of the Trade Fair Advisory Board and Conference Chair after 16 years. His duties at the trade fair and conference will be taken over by Prof. Dr.-Ing Axel Sikora.

Prof. Sikora has been an active member of the embedded world Conference Steering Board for many years. He is Scientific Director of the Institute for Reliable Embedded Systems and Communication Electronics at Offenburg University of Applied Sciences and Deputy Director of the Institute at Hahn-Schickard Gesellschaft für Angewandte Forschung e.V. in Villingen-Schwenningen.
