The Raspberry Pi is the king of mini-computers, at least when it comes to sales figures. More than 12.5 million mini computers have been sold since the product launch in 2012. This puts Raspberry Pi in third place on the list of best-selling computers; only PCs and Macs have sold more.
And the success story continues: a few weeks ago, the new 3B+ model was introduced, which has even more processing power and is now also supplied with power via the LAN cable - so the power supply unit and power cable can be dispensed with.

Extensive range of accessories

The Raspberry Pi owes its great popularity not least to its numerous expansion options with which makers can realize their projects. The wide range of accessories is very popular with a constantly growing community. Sven Pannewitz, Product Manager Active/Passive Components (Programming/Developer) at Reichelt Elektronik, can also confirm this: "Our sales figures show that the Raspberry Pi is becoming increasingly popular. The market is not saturated, quite the opposite: more and more people are buying a model of the mini computer. And there is also a noticeable trend in maker projects. The projects are getting smarter and smarter, and the Raspberry Pi can be used well and in a variety of ways, especially in the field of home automation."

Here are five components that no Raspberry Pi workshop should be without:
