Q.ANT hires Michael Krüger for Sales
Photonics specialist Q.ANT is expanding its management team. Michael Krüger is taking on the newly created position of Vice President Commercials and will be responsible for driving forward the marketing of the processor technology.
Q.ANT has appointed Michael Krüger as Vice President Commercials. In this newly created position, he has been responsible for sales and business development since April 2026. The focus is on the market launch and scaling of photonic processors for high-performance computing and artificial intelligence applications.
Krüger has more than 20 years of experience in technology sales, most of it at Intel. He started there as a software engineer and later took on managerial roles in technical sales. Most recently, he was Director Data Center and Artificial Intelligence Sales Germany and was responsible for sales of data center and AI solutions in Germany.
Further positions took him to Openchip & Software Technologies in Barcelona, where he worked as Director HPC & AI Market Development EMEA, and to the AI start-up co-mind.ai, where he held the role of Chief Revenue Officer. His career thus encompasses both corporate structures and the development of business areas in young companies.
"Michael Krüger combines a deep technical understanding of data center technologies with proven sales strength in the enterprise segment," says Dr. Michael Förtsch, founder and CEO of Q.ANT.
The company develops photonic processors that are intended to be used in an energy-efficient manner, particularly for computationally intensive applications such as AI workloads. With this appointment, Q.ANT aims to accelerate the transition from technology development to commercial use.
The appointment is part of several management decisions. Q.ANT had already appointed Utz Bacher as Vice President Software at the beginning of 2026.
