Optionally with Ethernet

The PCAN-Router Pro FD, a 6-channel CAN FD router and data logger from Peak-System, is optionally available with an RJ45 Ethernet interface.

The hardware can be programmed with its own firmware, which is uploaded via the CAN bus. The development package supplied by Peak-System contains various C/C++ programming examples for using the PCAN-Router and its Ethernet interface. When delivered, the PCAN-Router is equipped with firmware for recording CAN 2.0 and CAN FD data traffic. The configuration of the CAN channels, the IP connection and all recording settings is done via a text file and does not require any programming knowledge.

The configuration and trace files are stored on the internal 16 Gbyte eMMC memory or on an inserted SD card. The memory is usually accessed via a USB connection. If the Ethernet interface is available, the data can be transferred via the connected IP network using FTP.
