TQ equips the TQMxE40 module family with Elkhart Lake processors. The COM Express Mini, COM Express Compact and SMARC form factors are supported. The embedded modules are particularly suitable for industrial automation, medical technology, measurement technology, robotics as well as transportation and logistics applications. For the new standard modules TQMxE40M, TQMxE40S and TQMxE40C1/C2, TQ relies on the Atom x6000E processors, which will be available with twelve different CPU derivatives for different performance classes and operating conditions.

The memory interface of the COM Express mini module TQMxE40M is equipped with LPDDR4/4x technology. The memory capacity can be selected in the range from 4 to 16 GB. Up to four 3rd generation PCI Express lanes (8 GT/s) are available for connecting up to four peripheral devices and can be flexibly configured in the BIOS.

The TQMxE40S SMARC 2.1 module offers additional I/O connection options thanks to the edge connector with 314 pins. Three independent, high-resolution screens (up to 4K/60 Hz) and two Gigabit Ethernet interfaces are available. A peripheral connection with 3rd generation PCI Express is also supported here (8 GT/s). Two CAN interfaces round off the functions.

The two COM Express Compact modules TQMxE40C1 (soldered memory, max. 16 GB) and TQMxE40C2 (plug-in SO-DIMM memory, max. 64 GB) differ in terms of the memory technology used. Both support up to eight PCIe lanes and six devices as well as three independent 4K screens, 2x SATA and 1x Gigabit Ethernet. The modules should be available in series production in Q1/Q2 2021.
