The new optris PI NetBox mini PC from Optris can be used to operate all infrared cameras in the PI series - as a stand-alone system or as a cable extension via GigE. Furthermore, the mini PC can be installed together with the IR camera in the CoolingJacket Advanced cooling housing for high-temperature applications. The NetBox Utility and the factory-installed ControlCenter on the NetBox should enable quick and easy commissioning and configuration. According to the manufacturer, the internal watchdog function guarantees fail-safe and therefore cost-saving operation. The computer has an aluminum housing and a compact size of 113 mm × 57 mm × 47 mm. The PC is equipped with the Windows 7 Professional operating system. The core components of the NetBox are a COM Express Mini Embedded Board, an Intel quad-core processor with 1.91 GHz and 2 GB RAM. The 16 GB SSD hard disk can be expanded using micro SDHC or SDXC cards. In addition to the keyboard and mouse, further process modules can be connected via three USB ports. The power supply runs from 8 to 48 V(DC) or via PoE.
