With the 19-inch rack servers from the Vega-5U series, Welotec aims to offer a solution that takes up little space in the classic rack and at the same time has numerous card slots. According to the manufacturer, the rackmounts are the industrial equivalent of the 1U servers popular in the hosting sector. Up to four Vega 5U systems can be placed next to each other in a 19-inch rack and occupy five height units, i.e. only 1.25 height units per system. With up to four expansion slots per system, a maximum of 16 plug-in cards can be accommodated. With seven different slot configurations, up to 32 GB RAM, an optional ISA bus and CPUs from Atom to Core-i to Xeon, the Vega 5U rack servers can be flexibly adapted to the user's individual requirements. The level 0/1 RAID controller has 2 × 2.5 inch hot-swap bays with up to four HDDs. The system also offers a front USB interface and a fan with replaceable dust filter.
