Over 2,000 students submitted their microchip ideas to the 'Invent a Chip 2017' competition on the topic of 'New Mobility'. The VDE and the Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF) have now honored the four most original ideas in Munich.

Philipp Grube (18) from Immanuel-Kant-Gymnasium in Bad Oeynhausen won first prize of 3,000 euros for his toilet of the future. In public toilet facilities, digital access controls with automated entry and exit prevent congestion in the toilet room.
