Schneider Electric at SPS Connect
Designed for smaller IT environments
Schneider Electric announces the launch of an 'Edge in a Box' solution. The pre-configurable edge solution was developed in collaboration with technology partners StorMagic and Hewlett Packard Enterprise (HPE).
'Edge in a Box' combines Schneider Electric 's '6U Wall Mount EcoStruxure Micro Data Center' with StorMagic's 'SvSAN' software and 'HPE ProLiant' servers to provide an easy-to-install IT system for edge computing environments.
The solution is designed to meet the computing power requirements of smaller IT environments, can be mounted on a wall to save space and is optionally customized to meet individual customer needs.
The system consists of two 'HPE ProLiant' servers, optionally with VM-ware vSphere, Microsoft Hyper-V or Linux KVM hypervisor. It also has an APC Smart-UPS lithium-ion UPS, a rack PDU and an HPE Aruba networking solution.
With real-time data analytics and predictive service capabilities, EcoStruxure's remote management feature enables IT end users to collaborate with managed service providers (MSPs), IT solution providers and value added resellers (VARs).
