Previously, there was a choice of four ECU platforms in the Eco-ECU, Balance-ECU, Power-ECU and Ultimate-ECU performance classes. Now the Xtreme-ECU variant has been added, which is based on the x86-based 'Elkhart Lake' platform with a processor from Intel's Atom x6000E series. According to the manufacturer Rafi , the features of this chip architecture optimized for industrial applications include its low power consumption, which enables fanless operation, suitability for the extended temperature range of -40 to +85 °C and support for standard operating systems such as Ubuntu, Debian or Windows. This reduces the effort required for application-related software implementation compared to the previous ARM-based ECU versions. HTML5 applications can also be executed on the system.
