Emerson at the Hannover Messe 2024
Connecting production areas to the cloud
Emerson launches the 'PACSystems IPC 2010'. The industrial PC includes the 'PACEdge' platform for industrial peripherals and elements of the 'Movicon.Next' SCADA software to support users with browser-based configuration.
Running an industrial version of Linux and with serial and Ethernet ports available, the Emerson IPC can be used in various topologies as a gateway for communication and simultaneously or separately as an edge computing device. For example, users can use it as a flexible protocol converter and for other computing functions. These include IIoT, edge computing, OT/IT convergence, HMI visualization, SCADA connectivity and digital transformation. Both the hardware and software are universal and scalable. The computer in a compact form factor offers a wide operating temperature range with passive cooling, has a power consumption of just 4 W and can be installed almost anywhere thanks to its robust housing.
