The OEM M-81 embedded computer from Syslogic can be integrated into different communication levels. For example, actuators or sensors can be controlled directly via the integrated I/O interfaces. This makes the box PC suitable for classic automation applications. CAN bus systems can be controlled using two standard CAN interfaces, with six optionally available. Accordingly, the device is used to monitor or control vehicles such as automated guided vehicles (AGVs). For this purpose, the Box PC has been certified in accordance with DIN EN ISO 3691-4:2018, the standard for automated guided vehicles.

With integrated Gigabit Ethernet interfaces and WiFi support, the computer is also suitable as an IoT gateway or data logger. In addition to the input/output interfaces, a MiniPCI Express interface is available for system expansion. MicroSD or CFast cards can be connected as storage media.

Syslogic supplies the embedded systems with a preconfigured operating system to ensure user convenience and fast commissioning. Depending on requirements, various Windows or Linux versions are available. First and foremost Windows 10 IoT Enterprise 2019 LTSC and Debian 10.
