With the ME1-8MD series, ICP Germany is launching what it describes as three affordable embedded system variants onto the market.

The entry-level variant 'ME1-8MD-1G8G' is equipped with an NXP i.MX8M Dual Cortex-A53 with 1.3 GHz clock frequency, 1 Gbyte LPDDR4 onboard RAM and 8 Gbyte eMMC memory. The standard variant 'ME1-8MD-2G16G', on the other hand, has the same i.MX8M SoC as well as 2 Gbyte LPDDR4 onboard RAM and 16 Gbyte eMMC memory. The performance variant 'ME1-8MD-4G32G' is equipped with a Quad Cortex-A53 with 1.3 GHz, 4 Gbyte LPDDR4 onboard RAM and 32 Gbyte eMMC memory.

All ICP Germany variants have four digital in, four digital out, 5 V and ground connections from the internally available 40-pin Raspberry PI pin header via a 10-pin GPIO connector. Each variant also has an additional micro SD slot, a mini PCIe full-size slot with PCIe and USB signal applied, one USB 2.0, one RS 232/422/485, one HDMI, one GbE LAN connection and two USB 3.0 connections.
